Art Without Borders – Paintings from Abu Dhabi Supporting I-AME Scholarships

Funkstation Gallery is currently hosting a charity sales exhibition featuring paintings by young artists from the Mawhibaty programme, under the patronage of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. Created in Abu Dhabi as part of the students’ artistic development, the works were later left in Prague as a gift — so they can continue to help others.

By purchasing any artwork, you directly support the I-AME 2026 Scholarship Fund for exceptionally talented and disabled students who might not otherwise be able to take part in international music and visual arts courses. Each painting is therefore both an original artwork and a tangible contribution to a young person’s path towards education and creative growth.

In the summer of 2025, a group of students from Abu Dhabi came to Prague to attend the I-AME courses. They didn’t bring only their instruments and sheet music, but also their own paintings – colourful, personal and full of energy. After the courses ended, they decided to do something special: they left their artworks here in Prague. They entrusted them to us as a gift to help other young talents and students with disabilities take part in the I-AME 2026 courses.

All the paintings are now exhibited at GALERIE FunkStation and they are for sale.

100% of the proceeds from sales will go to the I-AME Scholarship Fund – to support:

  • exceptionally talented students who cannot afford the full course fee,

  • students with disabilities, for whom we need to provide assistance, special equipment and a safe environment.

Each painting you buy is a double joy:

  • you take home an original artwork with the story of its journey from Abu Dhabi to Prague,

  • and at the same time you pay for a place at the music stand or on stage for someone who would not otherwise be able to afford it.

We thank all the students from Abu Dhabi for their generosity – and we thank you for helping to make music and art accessible without borders.
