Andrei Kalisch

Violin

Andrei Kalisch was born in Alma-Ata in Kazakhstan. In the early years of his musical career, he took lessons from his grandfather who was a student of J. Lesman (assistant of L. Auer) and E. Antopolski (student of J. Thibaud). Then he studied at the Music High School and the Conservatory in Alma-Ata at the professor S. Abdusadikova (student of M. Garlitsky and A. Markov), and the professor D. Kaseinov (student of I. Bezrodny), the Vienna Conservatory and the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz at the professor Arkadij Winokurow.

Andrei performs at concerts as a soloist and a chamber musician in many European countries as well as in Japan, China, South Korea and Brazil and Colombia. He plays as a soloist with the Alma-Ata Philharmonic Orchestra and he is a member of the Vienna Residence Orchestra.
He also recorded CDs and television music.

He is a winner of solo and chamber music competitions and also his students are famous as winners of prestigious international competitions such as Kocian´s Violin Competition (Czech Republic), International Grumiaux Violin Competition (Belgium) or Leonid Kogan Violin Competition (Belgium).

He is also dedicated to teaching in Vienna since 1998 (e.g. Margareten Music School) and nowadays he is a director and a violin lecturer at the local Jehuda Halevi Music School.

Seine Schüler machen sich Namen als Preisträger renommierter internationaler Wettbewerbe solche wie Kocian Violinwettbewerb (Tschechien), Internationalen Grumiaux Violinwettbewerb (Belgien), Leonid Kogan Violinwettbewerb (Belgien).

Außerdem er ist der Leiter der Jehuda Halevi Musikschule in Wien. Preisträger bei Solo und Kammermusikwettbewerben. Soloauftritte mit dem Philharmonischen Orchester Alma-Ata.

Konzertiert als Solist, Kammermusiker in vielen Ländern Europas sowie in Japan, China, Süd-Korea, Brasilien und Kolumbien. CD- und Fernsehaufnahmen.

Andrei Kalisch ist in Alma-Ata, Kazachstan geboren. Erste Jahre in seine musikalische Karriere hat er den Unterricht bei seinem Großvater genommen. Der einen Schüler von J. Lesman (Assistent von L. Auer) und E. Antopolski (Schüler von J. Thibaud) war.

Später Studium am Musikgymnasium und Konservatorium in Alma-Ata bei Professor S. Abdusadikova (Schülerin von M. Garlitsky und A. Markov), Professor D. Kaseinov (Schüler von I. Bezrodny), Konservatorium der Stadt Wien und Brucknerkonservatorium Linz beim Professor Arkadij Winokurow.
